It's so hard to say goodbye.

But, unfortunately, that is what we will have to do when a pretty huge number of movies and television shows expire from Netflix on October 1st. If you're like me, you save a whole lot of maybes to your queue thinking they will be around forever. But yesterday I realized that a whopping sixteen of them-- yes, I have a ridiculously long queue-- are going to be gone soon. I can't watch all sixteen, so I had to pick what I hope is the best of the bunch.

Which is what I want to help you do. We're busy people with jobs and lives, so the whole idea of Netflix and chill (no matter what it means to you) can sometimes be a luxury. So grab a bottle of wine or a bowl of popcorn, because here are five movies you should sit down and watch while you can.

1. The Skeleton Twins. If you are like me and love dark comedies about depression and just trying to figure shit out, you will love this movie. It stars Kristen Wiig and Bill Hader from Saturday Night Live in roles that will leave you speechless. The acting is incredible and the story-- the ways things connect and things aren't entirely what they seem-- made me want to jump inside that world, or at least know what happens after.

2. Dear White People. Basically, this should just be required viewing. It's poignant and funny, but so truthful is cuts you like a knife.

3. Much Ado About Nothing. The first of two Shakespeare adaptations on this list, this movie shares the title of the play it is based on. If you are a Whedonite-- that is, a fan of Joss Whedon's works like Buffy, The Avengers, Firefly or Dollhouse-- you will be giddy at all of the familiar faces that appear in this film. Plus, the story behind how it was made is so great, you'll want to start hosting your own Shakespeare brunches.

4. A Nightmare on Elm Street. A lot of horror movies will be leaving Netflix, meaning your Halloween horror movie binge might not be as long this year. Get started a little early and watch classics like the original A Nightmare on Elm Street and marvel in the wonderful ridiculousness of some of it. (Seriously... the Johnny Depp scene? What? The mom? Huh?) Throw in some of The Exorcist and Interview with a Vampire while you're at it. They will be gone after October 1st, too.

5. Romeo + Juliet. Leonardo DiCaprio in his prime. I have such a soft spot for this movie, which stays true to the original dialogue of the Shakespeare play. Is it the best Shakespeare adaptation? No. Was it, like, totally cool back in the nineties? Uh, for sure.

Another month, another roundup of my monthly beauty favorites.

Saying goodbye to September is a little bittersweet for me. I'm almost sad to leave it behind because it's been such a good month for me, but October is full of my favorite things: pumpkins, horror movies and plaid shirts. And, let's be real, autumn makeup is pretty much the best.

This month I got adventurous-- for me, anyway-- and tried out a handful of new products. My absolute favorite out of the bunch was probably the Browdrama Pro Palette from Maybelline. You can see my full review of it here. It gives me full but natural-looking brows in no time and is super easy to use. A couple of my other favorite eye products this month have been the Revlon Photoready Kajal eyeliner in black and BareMinerals 5 in 1 eye primer in Barely Nude. Seriously, go out and get this eye primer. It helps mattify oily lids, keeps your eye makeup looking great all day and it looks great on it's own.

My favorite lip combo only included one actual lip product. I received the noyah Natural Lipstick in Desert Rose in my August ipsy bag and, while the natural pink looks great on it's own, I loved pairing it with-- get this-- the HydraGel blush in Flirt by Doll 10. When applied lightly with your finger, this product gives my lips a just-kissed look which makes them look fuller. And it's great for kind of a messy-chic look.

Two brushes and a powder have helped my makeup look flawless this month. Okay, maybe not flawless, but I don't look like a troll and these three things have helped. After I've applied foundation, I use the Real Techniques Bold Metals powder brush to apply MAC Studio Fix in NC30. This powder gives me a little extra coverage (goodbye redness!) and helps my makeup stay put all day. I find that after a few hours, my skin's oils mix with the powder and it gives me a nice glow. I use the ELF Blush Brush for contouring because it is the perfect shape and size to get into the natural contours of your face and blend the product out.

Last but absolutely not least is my Jo Malone fragrance in Wood Sage & Sea Salt. I purchased this last year and have been loving it ever since. For a while I stopped using it to try out some new products, but in the middle of summer it found it's way back into my every day routine. It is my perfect scent, earthy and woodsy and not at all florally or sweet.

'Same Old Love' by Selena Gomez might be my new jam...

Fashion hasn’t always been my thing. When I was in high school, bands tees and jeans were pretty much my everyday go-to. College wasn’t much different, as comfort is definitely key when you have a 8 a.m. class or have to be on campus all day.

Then I started gaining weight— a lot of it. I know now why, but at the time all I knew was that my body was changing uncontrollably, and jeans and t-shirts just didn’t flatter it anymore. I couldn’t shop at some of the stores I used to frequent. I was at a loss. How could I dress this new body of mine… and where could I find the clothes to do it?

That is where these stores come in. They have helped me feel comfortable and confident because they offer amazingly cute clothes in a wide variety of sizes. From business-wear to dressy to casual, these stores will suit your need and, hopefully, your own unique style.

ASOS Curve is where I turn when I want to try out a new trend or purchase some staples for my wardrobe. Their brand of jeans fit so well, you will want to cry. They run a size or two big, so you need to size down, but once that is out of the way you will love the way these jeans make you feel. Their dresses and tops are great, too, and run from casual and trendy to so dressy you don't know if you will ever have a chance to wear it. And, of course, you have all kinds of accessories to choose from in both the plus size and straight size sections.

ModCloth is just the best. It is where I purchased a last-minute dress for my friend's wedding (remember that?) and I've made a couple of other purchases since then. Everything is great quality, and the t-shirts are so soft-- and as an added bonus, ModCloth lets other people upload pictures of them in the clothes. So you can just swipe through the gallery and find someone similar in size and shape to you and see if a piece is your style or not!

Torrid used to be the only place I would shop. And while I still love a lot of their stuff, now I mainly purchase jeans and blazers. Seriously, if you need a blazer for any reason, they will have you covered-- and still looking good. But their dresses and tops are gorgeous as well, and you can almost always find a sale or coupon code to use!

rue21is a recent favorite of mine. They just opened a store nearby and, boy, was I in for a shock when I went in. The plus sized clothes were front and center-- not in a dark back corner somewhere (you know what I'm talking about!). And there was so much to choose from. I ended up leaving the store with two tops, to pairs of pants, two pairs of flats and then some, and I have been wearing them all out ever since. And right now they have some really nice plaid shirts for fall... which reminds me, I need to stock up.

All I’ve done is live for about twenty-six years. That’s not long, just a little over a quarter of a century. And I’ve only just figured out what I want to do with my life. I still live with my parents. My cat is probably my best friend. It’s hard for me to even update my blog consistently. I am not a shining example of success in the eyes of many people.

But what I am is happy. Content. Figuring it out. And I think that is pretty important.

It has taken me a while to get to this point. It takes some people a lot longer, and that’s okay. But here are a few things I’ve learned along the way that have helped me love life, love others, and love myself.
