The Spiritual Series: Your Chakras
8:24 AMChakras are the energy (or spiritual) centers in our body that help us stay balanced and, in my opinion, just a little bit more together in our daily lives. The Sanskrit word literally means wheel, so one could think of them as little energy wheels that work together in our bodies to keep everything aligned.
Each chakra represents a different aspect of our energy, like you can see in the handy and Pinterest-ready chart I made above. Sometimes our chakras can become blocked or, more often, they just kind of get thrown out of whack. I can definitely feel when this happens; I just feel a little all over the place when they are unaligned. And, occasionally, a blocked chakra can lead to physical ailments; these energy wheels are a bridge between the physical and spiritual realms.
But that is where some good ol' meditation comes in. Meditating on your chakras-- one by one, or focusing on the one you feel you need balanced the most-- will help to ease negative those side effects. One of my favorite things to so every so often is a guided chakra alignment. My favorite is by CharmingPixieFlora on YouTube. Simply remaining aware-- of your chakras, of your connection with the world around you, of your spiritual connections-- will help your chakras remain a bit more balanced.
